FAQ

Here are some of the common questions people would often like answering about our Blues Brothers Band. If your question is not answered below, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Q. How long does your show last for?

A. The show typically lasts for 2 hours from start to finish, usually performed as 2 x 60 minute sets with a break in the middle. We can alternatively do a single 90 minute set, but due to the high energy nature of the show this is the longest we can perform in a single set.

Q. How much do you cost to hire?

A. This depends on what size of band you require (we can go out a a 6 to 12 piece show), where abouts the show will be located and whether you will need a disco as part of the package. We ensure prices are competitive given the quality of the band, and will always do our best to work within your budget. Please click on our contact page, fill out the form and we will get straight back to you with an accurate quote.

Q. What do you need us (the client) to supply?

A. Our Blues Brothers Band will need a changing room, and ask that the client supplies a light meal and drinks for the band. Two standard 13 amp plug sockets are sufficient, as the equipment we use is modern and draws little power. The stage area, ideally, should be a minimum of 5 metres wide by 3 meters deep to give us room to perform, although the more space we have the better the show will be visually. We can work in a smaller space, but it can sometimes restrict the dance routines.

Q. How far will you travel?

A. Anywhere in the world! Blues Brothers Experience has travelled all over Europe and as far as Russia. So don’t be afraid to ask! We just need to ensure we can cover travel expenses as part of the fee. We are based on the Essex / Suffolk border.

Q. What about the PA and Lighting?

A. The Blues Brothers Experience has its own very high quality PA and lightning show and qualified and experienced lighting and sound engineers. These are supplied as part of the package. The PA is modular and capable of playing to crowds in excess of 1,000 people, or as few as 50. We always ensure the listening levels are carefully managed to ensure everyone can hear and enjoy the show without it being too loud.

Q. Do you supply a disco too?

A. Yes our Blues Brothers Band are happy to supply a disco and this will be a cheaper option than hiring a separate DJ. It also means there is the piece of mind of knowing both the band and the DJ are in safe hands, in one all inclusive package.

Q. Do The Blues Brothers Experience promote the show for us?

A. Blues Brothers Experience will, where possible, promote any public performance of the show by advertising it on our own Website, as well as our Facebook page and Twitter. We will not advertise private hire functions or events to protect client confidentiality. For theatre performances we will additionally provide printed materials in the form of posters and leaflets as agreed between The Blues Brothers Experience and the theatre.

Q. I don’t see my question answered above.

A. Please click on the contact page link and drop Blues Bothers Experience and fill out the form, or give the band a call, whatever suits you best. You can be assured a friendly, accurate and prompt response.
